Hankins Website Redesign

A complete redesign and redevelopment of the Hankins website, focused on improving usability, visual clarity, and brand communication while delivering a modern, responsive experience. I served as Lead Visual Designer, and owning the UX, UI.

Problem: The existing website lacked visual hierarchy, clear communication of services, and responsive behavior across devices. Users struggled to find key information, and the visual style did not reflect the company’s expertise. The goal was to deliver a modern, intuitive website that better represented the brand and improved user engagement.

Goals
• Improve visual hierarchy and content clarity
• Create a responsive website optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Modernize visual style to align with the brand’s identity and values
• Enhance navigation and conversion paths for core user actions
• Establish reusable UI patterns for future maintenance

I led the design strategy, defined visual language and UI components, and built responsive layouts. I collaborated with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and user needs.

**Research & Discovery**
I began by reviewing analytics and conducting stakeholder interviews to understand user goals, business priorities, and content pain points.

**Information Architecture & Wireframes**
I reorganized content and prioritised key user flows, defining wireframes for the homepage and major sections.

**Visual Design**
Using Figma, I designed a modern visual system that emphasized hierarchy, ample white space, and a cohesive aesthetic aligned with the brand.

**Iteration & Feedback**
Multiple rounds of review and iteration helped refine UI components and interactions before deployment.

Results
• Users now locate core service information 40–60% faster based on testing
• Bounce rate decreased on key pages
• Increased engagement on mobile and tablet
